GET MOVED
Intended by Bishop Maurice de Sully, the foundation stone of Notre-Dame de Paris was laid in 1163 and completed two centuries later. Damaged by time and revolution, it was the architect Viollet-le-Duc who brought the majesty of the edifice back to life in the 19th century.
However, on April 15, 2019, flames consumed this thousand-year-old heritage. The fire tore the hearts of Paris and the world apart, but in its ruin, Notre-Dame rallied a global community in an unprecedented show of solidarity.
Now restored down to the last nook and cranny, the cathedral's extraordinary reconstruction has been dubbed the “worksite of the century”, bringing together over 2,000 craftsmen and specialists.

BE WOWED
Notre-Dame de Paris Cathedral is ready to dazzle visitors with its renewed splendor.
The majestic vaults, patiently rebuilt, once again rise gracefully, supporting the entire cathedral. The chapels, whose paintings have been restored to their vibrant colors, shine in the light of the renovated stained glass windows. Medieval sculptures, once damaged by fire, have been restored with extraordinary precision, bringing new life to the saints and gargoyles that watch over this sacred place.
